Highways issues can be crucial in determining whether a development will succeed or fail to achieve planning consent.

In particular where a new or upgraded access road is required to service a proposed property or housing development, the access / road has to be designed to comply with Highways standards and specifications. For example in terms of visibility and road safety minimum distances and levels of visibility have to be achievable before Planning Consent will be granted.

Because Highways are a difficult and specialised area, Land Planning always works closely with experienced professional Highways Consultants, to ensure that any highways issues which arise on our projects are resolved to the satisfaction of the Council.

Over recent years Land Planning has built up excellent communications and good working relationships with many of the Highways Officers at Cheshire and other Local Authorities Highways Departments.

Please feel free to contact Land Planning should you have any Planning issues relating to Highways which we could help you to resolve?
